This year's theme is Reaching Full Potential for the Counselor, Client, and the Field.
Proposals are due by October 15. Accepted student presenters will be notified via email by October 17.
The 2018 WCA Conference will be held November 2-3 in Madison, WI. Presentations will occur on Saturday, November 3. Students must be available to present their work.
Directions: Please submit all requested information. Incomplete proposals will not be considered. Proposals will NOT be considered unless submitted on this form.
Who may apply: Any current graduate student in a counseling program. Each student that is indicated on this form must be present for their poster presentation
What: Students will present new and useful information in an area of counseling. Students may present on research or other projects that have been completed during their time as a graduate student. During the poster presentation slot, students will be present with their poster and answer any questions that attendees may have. Your work should be presented on a tri-fold board. Students may also choose to bring handouts.
Volunteers: Please note that if you are interested in volunteering for the conference, you must be available all-day Saturday. The first 4 students that apply for this opportunity will be accepted as a volunteer if their proposal is also accepted. Accepted volunteers will receive free registration for the conference.
Cost: There will be a student registration fee that accepted presenters will be required to pay. By submitting a proposal form, you accept the terms of registering for the Summit by October 15, 2018. Student volunteers will be required to pay upfront for their registration. They will be reimbursed once they have completed their conference tasks.
NOTE: Please be grammatically correct when writing you proposal, including titles, as both will be published as you write them.
Your poster presentation must be displayed on a stand-alone, tri-fold poster board. Accepted student poster presenters will notified via email.
