WCA will host elections for the Executive Board for open positions in the late winter/early spring of 2025. Please check back in early 2025 for open positions. The upcoming WCA Board year runs from July 2025 - June 2026. Our anticipated openings are below and more may be added as we approach the elections.
WCA will also have standing committees that we will be filling. It interested in serving on a committee, check this page over the coming months for more information.
WCA has opened nominations for the positions below for the upcoming 2025-2026 Board Year that will begin on July 1, 2025. At this time, we are accepting nominations for the positions of President-Elect, Advocacy Chair, and Membership Chair. Please email nominations to us at wisconsincounseling@gmail.com. Nominations are due by Friday, April 25. In the nomination email please give us your background information, goals for the position, and your strengths as they relate to the position. Approved candidates will be contacted to discuss positions. Please note all positions are expected to attend board meetings, which are currently held monthly via Zoom and attend WCA events throughout the year.
President Elect serves a three year term on the board. The first year will be as President-Elect, followed by President, and ending with Past-President. This position would serve as President-Elect from July 1, 2025- June 30, 2026, President from July 1, 2026- June 30, 2027, and Past-President from July 1, 2027- June 30, 2028. The person in this role must maintain active professional membership in both ACA and WCA throughout their term.
Advocacy Chair
Advocacy Chair serves a one year term on the board. The term runs from July 1, 2025 - June 30, 2026. The Advocacy Chair helps keep WCA members informed of advocacy concerns on the local, state, and federal level. The position will head planning of WCA's Annual Advocacy Day in Madison.
Membership Chair
Membership Chair serves a one year term on the board. The term runs from July 1, 2025 - June 30, 2026. The Membership Chair assists in communications for the association and oversees the association email. The position assists in creating initiatives to engage and grow membership. The position serves as secretary during WCA meetings.
WCA is also looking for members who are interested in shadowing our Conference Chair with the intention of assuming the chair position. In addition, WCA is looking for members interested in the Treasurer position. If interested, please reach out to us via email for more information with the position you are interested in. Both the Conference Chair and Treasurer positions are appointed by a vote of the Executive Board. Both the Conference Chair and Treasurer positions are appointed for three year terms with an option for renewal by a vote of the board.
